Z. Stephen Horvat Prior to entering the legal profession, Steve had an extensive business career in the automotive, banking and health care fields. Steve earned his B.S. in business administration from the University of Maryland, University College in 1994 and his J.D. from the University of Maryland School of Law in 1997. While in law school, Steve was a member of the National Moot Court team and a finalist in the school's Morris Brown Myerowitz Moot Court Competition. Steve is a member of the bars of Maryland and the District of Columbia and has extensive litigation experience in the areas of serious personal injury, consumer lending and protection, commercial litigation and family law. HIs professional focus is on protecting the legal rights of the individual.
Dawn P. O'Croinin Dawn graduated from the University of Pennsylvania in 1996 and earned her J.D. with a certification in health law from the University of Maryland School of Law in 2000. While in law school, Dawn served as an Articles Editor of the Maryland Law Review, and published her case note (as Dawn Lanzalotti): Baltimore Gas & Electric Co. v. Flippo -- Silent Application of a Limited Attractive Nuisance Doctrine in the State of Maryland, 58 Md. L. Rev. 1142 (1999). She also served as a member of the Moot Court Board, and a member of the National Trial Team. Upon graduation, Dawn was made a member of the Order of the Barristers, and received the Ward, Kershaw & Minton Clinical Advocacy Prize and William P. Cunningham Award. Dawn served as a law clerk for the Hon. Lynne A. Battaglia, Court of Appeals of Maryland, and practiced previously at the firms of Anderson, Coe & King, LLP and Parker, Dumler & Kiely, LLP. Dawn is admitted to practice in Maryland, Pennsylvania and the District of Columbia. She is also admitted to the Bar of the U.S. District Court for the District of Maryland, and the U.S. District Court for the Eastern District of Pennsylvania.
Dawn has been a member of the J. Dudley Digges Inn of Court since 2001. She also serves as Vice President of Communications for the Class of 1996 at the University of Pennsylvania, and as a member of the university's Alumni Class Leadership Council. She resides with her husband, Conor, and daughters Rose and Ciara in Sykesville, MD.
